Checkers has been a staple stud used in two other breeding programs.  We were incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to bring him into our program!  He puts shape, brains and a competitive willingness on his foals. He carries two copies of the cream gene that results in an array of colors. Gater had a solid start put on him and then got started working on the ranch calving cows, branding and checking pastures.  He lightly got started on the breakaway sled before we sent him to Kerkow Barrel Horses to get started in the barrel pen and prepare for 2025 futurities.  We have high hopes for some excellent all around foals!
