If you would have told me how much this mare was going to impact my life I would have said you were crazy! I had seen Pea listed on Facebook, my friend Lindsay had her consigned, after many messages to owner, I met Lindsay to try her out. I didn’t expect to try her, fall in love with her and buy her that day. I was expecting a project horse but wasn’t expecting a heart horse.  We took some time getting to know each other and then started entering at her speed to gain confidence. Little did I know she was going to boost my own confidence and form a deeper enjoyment to run barrels. Some of my most memorable moments running barrels at rodeos and jackpots involve Pea. From the BBR Finals to rodeos not to mention her love of cows- this mare really enjoys her job! She loves mud, hates clay, loves cows, hates ranch work, loves to turn, loves kids and I swear she poses for photos. She’s a no nonsense mare- just leave her alone and hustle her and she’ll give her whole heart to you (she doesn’t like being told what to do- probably why we get along so well). Pea has had one foal 8 years ago that’s unfortunately broodmare sound only. Miss Pea has been a stinker to get bred back since.  I will always be thankful to the women that convinced me she needed to come home with me!!
